Bryony is a recent graudate from the Textiles in Practice programe at Manchester School of Art, specialisng in Knit with a strong interest in sustainable and ethical practice.

“Recently I have been focused on finding the extraordinary in the everyday, the overlooked, discarded and unexpected. Taking inspiration from imperfections; I reinterpret traditional processes, using colour and technique sensitively to question notions of value and disposability in my work.

I strive to reduce the environmental impact of my practice and aim to highlight how sustainable production can fit within a contemporary fashion framework. I enjoy the fluid nature of knit as it allows me to explore dress in an unconventional way, playing with volume and structure within garments and fabrics which lead to innovative outcomes for a fashion context.”
